Plateau Pikas and Tibetan Snow Finches

Tibetan snow finch and plateau pika are great friends! In a process of mutual symbiosis, the finches live in abandoned burrows made by the pikas, and are known as 'second cavity nesters'. They provide important sentry duty by chirping when a threat comes close, to warn their pika friends!
